Technical Construction and Languages

Version 1.6 March 2017                                Previous Version

Word Processing

The original pages are being developed as Microsoft Word documents.  Then each document is converted into a web page, and the required header and footer graphics and links are added to the HTML.

This will enable

·       a wide range of contributors to develop content using widely available word processing tools, and

·       the source pages can be assembled into one or more printable books.

Languages

We are developing this in English, then plan to translate the pages into other languages.

We hope planning to create these translations is not just an ego trip.  It would be silly to try to define “global beliefs” and only get feedback from the English speakers.

We especially invite non-English speaking people to provide comments, because being restricted to the English literature will mean we missed out on many other perspectives.

We plan to use Google Translate for the translations.  The machine translations are the best we can do at the moment – we don’t have any funding to manually translate or even manually check the machine translations.\

Let us know if you can help with translations.
