Quick (High Level) Tour

Version 1.0                              August 2014

In the web site, we have provided three sets of links between pages.

1.      Next and Previous (right and left arrows)

These links step the viewer through every page (like a depth first search).

Online you just keep pressing right arrow (or Next).

2.      Quick Tour (control-right and control-left)

These links skip over the details in the first pass, to show the high level pages (like a breadth first search).  These present an introduction, and summaries of  the eight main Parts.  Each Part covers one knowledge domain, and one high level conclusion.

After introducing each Part, these links provide an overview of each Chapter.  Each Chapter covers one main subject area, and has one second level conclusion.

These links then pass over the sections, and then the sub-sections in each chapter. 

Online you just keep pressing control right arrow (or Quick Tour).

3.      Expandable Tree Menu

The web site also allows you to step in and out of pages as you wish, using a tree menu on the left of the web page.

Online, you click on the plus or minus to expand or contract the tree menu.

In the book version, we have to have a single fixed sequence, from front to back.

Some of the introductory pages may at first appear to be less interesting, but we hope you will continue to read on, skipping the boring bits if you think it’s necessary.
